Ritesh is angry with Vaibhav Chavan on the issue of Malvani language
Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5: The fifth season of ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ is currently in great discussion. In the third week, Vaibhav deducted points during Ankita’s doll task, claiming that the “Malvani is not a Marathi language”. After this there were angry reactions against Vaibhav on social media. In this regard, Ritesh is angry with Vaibhav Chavan on the issue of Malvani language.
Ritesh asks Ankita, “Which village are you from?” To this she says, “I am from Malvan… coming to Sindhudurga.” Hearing Ankita’s words, Ritesh tells her, “You know the language you speak, Maka, what is it…Maharashtra, you know because, Malvani but Marathi! What a glory, now you must have understood what I am saying.”
Ritesh asks Vaibhav about his statement on Malvani language, “Why did you say that Malvani language is not Marathi language…for a crucial point in the task? Vaibhav, the moment you uttered this sentence, you disappeared from the audience. You say whatever you want to win the task and don’t even think about the consequences. By saying ‘Malvani language is not Marathi language’ you have hurt not only Malvani people but also all Marathi people.”
“The fact that languages change every 8 to 10 miles in Maharashtra does not mean that these languages are not Marathi. All these are sub-languages of Marathi and our dialects. The work of language is to connect people… Today Malvani said Marathi language is not, tomorrow you will say Kolhapur language is not Marathi. It is not befitting of you that on one hand you teach Marathi to Irina and on the other make such statements about Marathi language.” By saying this , Ritesh has opened Vaibhav’s ears.
